Umer Sharif, a well-known Pakistani comedian, died in Germany on Saturday (October 2) after suffering from serious health problems. Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Pakistan's ambassador to Germany, verified the news of his unfortunate death.

He had used Twitter to express his sorrow over the death of the legendary comic. He penned, "Mr. Umer Sharif has died, and his death is announced with great sadness. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies for his family and friends. Our CG is on hand at the hospital to help the family in any way he can."
